Samir feels a keen affinity to communication and its role in facilitating events in the cultural scene of Europe, so for him it is essential to explore that within the frame of artist management. Mainly a musician, Samir has been playing in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra since 2017, and has been a member of the West-Eastern Divan Ensemble since 2020. He was recently elected to be part of the newly formed committee of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, a focus group that represents the musicians in liaison with the administration, where issues regarding dialogue, coexistence, and human connection are addressed on a daily basis. Samir speaks English, German, and Arabic. Born in Amman, Jordan, Samir grew up in a Palestinian household with music and the arts situated in the clear foreground.
